  • Working Moms, how do you find time to workout?
    C CC

I WFH and I immediately come home after school drop off and work out in my home gym from 7:45-8:30/9 or take a 3 mile walk with my dog and then start working. This is my routine, I rarely deviate. The discipline and routine aspect has helped me immensely. I look so much better, I feel a sense of accomplishment, and that discipline carries over into my workday. I am going to try to start working out before the kids get up (5:30-6:15) and see if I can do it, since I am entering a season where I need more work hours in my day.

I love the SunBum kid's face stick in the yellow packaging.

  • How do you do it all?
    C CC

To echo the other response here, you don't. You can't have it all, all at one time. Outsourcing what you can to the point that it aligns with your finances is the first step. Especially the mindless stuff that doesn't require you to be the one to do it. Laundry, cleaning, etc can be done by anyone, so really try and pull back hours of your life there, if you can. Being ruthless with your time is another way to chip away at "all" you have to do. That means that you can't say yes to everything because one yes is a no to something else, because doing it "all" is impossible. This is a larger step I personally took, but I changed how I work and launched my own consultancy so I didn't have to be online 8=10 hours a day, be in an office, or travel extensively for work. This gave me my life back when I need it most, during these really demanding years for my family. There's a lot of "letting go" of what doesn't matter attached to the idea of 'doing it all,' and I think most moms need to have that convo with themselves on what they value and prioritize semi-often so they stay sane and true to themselves!

  • Best clothing rental company/subscription?
    C CC

I do both RTR and Nuuly, for different reasons. RTR has more fashion-y clothes, and I can usually find fun options for events I have on my calendar. Nuuly is more casual and I usually get sundresses, skirts, activewear and generally just super casual everyday clothes. I have a pretty strong need for both for my life, and the combined monthly costs for both is still cheaper than the retail price on just one of the items I rent from RTR, so the girl math is mathing for me. I also like that if you love an item on either platform, you can buy it for less than retail. I do run into periods here and there when I am not in love with the options that are available when I am ready to rent, but I eventually find enough stuff to fill my shipment!
