We have this thing hanging by our trash and it’s significantly minimized them! We had it last summer and if you leave it out too long, it starts to smelly pretty bad, so replace it if that happens. I thought we had a dead animal under our deck it smelled so bad until I realized it was the fly catcher. Also it’s not actually reusable bc it’s disgusting. Bugbane reusable outdoor fly trap on Amazon
My pet peed! Spray it on and it kind of smells while it’s working but somehow the stain disappears! It’s peroxide based so I’m sure there are alternatives that do the same thing
What books have you and your kids, ages 3-6, been delighted to read to your kids for the first 20-50 times?!
For 3-6 year olds: the book with no pictures, if I built a house, Snatchabook, the circus ship, Lou, Color blocked, Giraffes can’t dance, what would Danny do, have you filled a bucket today
For the younger kids (2 and under): The belly button book by Sandra Boynton. Go Dog Go. Sheep in a jeep.

Love the just ingredients chocolate! My kids also LOVE the ballerina farm maple syrup! Tastes like the leftover milk after eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch!
If you’re in Austin, we had it done by Dr. Poplin. Great experience! Myofunctional Therapy before and after is v important. We had this lovely woman named Virginie come to our house in the mornings before school. I have twin boys and one of them did a few months of myofunctional therapy. The other twin needed like 6 months.
@BoyMama Viracid - 2 every hour like it says in the back! Plus neti pots and Afrin for 3 days max
I have two summer birthdays and decided to hold them back. No regrets. Someone told me, do you want to gift your kid an extra year of childhood or an extra year of adulthood? Childhood all the way! I know it’s “getting out of hand” but in Texas it’s been this way for a while. Growing up, I can remember lots of boy in high school who had a spring/summer birthdays - they seemed so immature and were physically smaller!
For girls it’s a different bc they mature faster.
We love the applegate pork sausage links - heat up in the microwave. Then hard boiled eggs and my kids love to salt their own (which makes it more special and sometimes gets out of hand). We also do scrambled eggs with cottage cheese mixed in and they love those. Big fan of frozen waffles and pancakes over here. My favorite for weekends is these sheet pancakes from nap time kitchen https://naptimekitchen.com/sheet-pancakes/
Hi! My 5 year old cleans to self regulate. He’ll vacuum the car, make his siblings beds and during free time at school he likes to sweep. He feels so much better when things are tidy! And also feels very yucky when things are messy or dirty. He literally lugs our huge vacuum up the stairs on weekends and vacuums everything. Our car is the cleanest minivan a mom of 3 kids 5 and under has ever seen! I have two other kids (and he’s a twin) so I believe it’s just in his nature and hoping it’s not me, but at what point do I need to be concerned about OCD tendencies? Anyone else have kids obsessed with cleaning? Or have older children who grew out of this phase? No idea what to tag this lol
What are y’all asking for Mother’s Day? My birthday is this month too so I need specific ideas/links lol. I got a really cute bike with a basket last year that I picked out and riding bikes with my kiddos on the weekend is one of my favorite things to do! I wish I didn’t live in hilly Austin and had actual restaurants close by, but the bike is still so much fun! What else? I’ve never asked for/received jewelry - does anyone have pieces that are really special? Even inexpensive! Send me your ideas!!
5:30 AM workout class three days/week and it’s SO hard to get into the routine, but once you’re in it, you won’t regret it! I make my husband get up with the kids the night before if someone isn’t sleeping. He knows that I need good sleep before my MWF early mornings!
Just wanted to say I’m in the same boat! I’ve been hearing that you never regret having the kid, but you may regret not having one… would love to hear from any other mamas of 4!
What books have you found yourself delighted to read to your kids for the first few times?! Inevitably you will read them 100s more times and they will lose their luster… but they can bring joy for a bit!
For my 4 year old: the book with no pictures, Snatchabook, Bear Snores on, Color blocked, Giraffes can’t dance, stand back said the elephant, what would Danny do (was fun in the beginning)
For the younger kids (2 and under): The belly button book by Sandra Boynton. Go Dog Go. Sheep in a jeep. I even loved the pout pout fish the first time I read that.

I have three kids. Twin 4 year olds and a 2 year old. I have always wanted a big family, but life is expensive and my patience is slim. Both of my pregnancies were twins, so the likelihood of having twins again is HIGH. I’m also approaching 35 which increases the chance of twins too. Moms with 4/5 kids, do you have regrets? Is it way more insane than 3 kids? Are there any things that you’ve implemented to make your life easier with so many kids?
