This is such a tricky one and I think about it often. On one hand it's just a fun way for kids to stay in touch. On the other hand, do they need to stay in touch at that age? Probably not.
It could be a good lesson on technology and digital etiquette. Maybe better to learn this while they are young and the stakes are lower? Although they are likely not mature enough in elementary school for this type of communication so it could overall be better if introduced later.
Regardless it's time consuming. I agree with the other poster that said nothing good will come from it. For me the benefit doesn't out weigh the risk (at this time). Let them be little in a world that is forcing them to grow up faster than they need to.

Affordable pediatric dental care@CBeagle also my child needs conscious sedation because they are getting extensive work beyond cavities but i'm sure laughing gas is even cheaper?
-
Affordable pediatric dental careActually, yes. We had an insurance issue today and usually go to Toothbud and switched to Lonestar and paid cash and it was $75 for the clean, exam, xrays and fluoride treatment.
We also had cavities and i have the quote right in front of me. Conscious sedation is $420 and each filling would be $220 without insurance or $40 with our (very average) insurance. Sealant is $68 without insurance or $0 with our insurance. That seems way better than what you were quoted?

Men are from Mars… women are from VenusI agree, just tell him. "I am different from you and I need this in order to give you that"
If he's not responsive to that then we've got bigger problems. -
ADHD resourcesI recently had my lab work done by a functional provider and told her that my adhd was feeling out of control. She suggested increasing omega 3s and Vitamin D+K3 in order to support neurotransmitters. I just started a couple days ago. Hoping this helps!

Neighbor dog barkingOkay this sucks. Ours were only there for the weekend so we just waited it out but we could hear them when we were inside.
My vote would be to talk to them bc I would not be offended. Likley they are leaving their dogs out when they run errands etc and don't realize. Just be nice, maybe you can say some type of joke about it and let it lead into the conversation -
Picky eater - HELPJust a mom not an expert, but I've always heard to pair "safe" foods with new foods. You're probably already doing that. I've also heard to keep introducing foods over and over again and like the other commenter said, to try different variations.
Maybe try some protein packed yogurt to fill her up or even protein shakes if pediatrician says it's okay? Also her blood sugar dipping could cause hangry so maybe snacks are a good option right now? I feel like I have more questions than answers here, sorry! lol

Beach Games for Family on Spring BreakHeading on Spring Break woohoooooo!!! Looking for family games to play on the beach and at the house. Elementary aged. I'm going to try really hard to be good with my phone and keep it away, so something I would enjoy as well. Does this even exist? Thanks!

Mushrooms - Where to Start??I was just at a work conference and this was what everyone was talking about. They said they barely drink anymore and just micro dose and feel great the next day. I'm now on a mission to try this, it sounds so lovely!! I want to hear everyone's experiences.
My husband has told me for years to try but i've been too scared but it seems so mainstream now. -
Best go-to easy dinnerEnchiladas are surprisingly easy, quick and can be healthy. Especially if you buy the enchilada sauce and use a rotisserie chicken. 20min tops and feels way more gourmet

Teachers, how do we best support you??When it comes time for parent teacher conferences the days are longgggg. A kind word or little treat goes a long way. Often we give up our planning periods before and during conference times which makes for extra work outside of school to keep up.
