Now that Southwest Airlines won’t be much different than the other airlines I’m looking into a new credit card. What is your favorite card?
Most our money is spent on daycare and the grocery store. -

It really depends what perks are most valuable to you. I have found the Chace sapphire card to be a good balance and the points have worked well for travel.

We also have the SWA card and have companion passes w/ our points, it will be harder to achieve these this w/ the changes. I am following b/c we might need to do a switch too!

We have a citi card that is Marriott rewards. We rack up points and then use for hotels when we travel (which isn’t that often) but then you also get extra points from staying at Marriotts etc. They also have great perks for Marriott members, so it seems to work well for our large family.

We also use Amex for work purchases and then use those points for flights!

I have two favorites:
Barclay Upromise Card- you connect to your child’s 529 account and it automatically deposits rewards there. Over the years it’s added up to an extra $9k in my oldests 529! Definitely worth using for all things.
My other favorite is Marriott Bonvoy- we use this throughout the year also and earn free hotel stays.

I really like the Amex platinum. It does have an annual fee but if you anticipate using the perks they more than make up for it (think like monthly Uber/Uber Eats credits, Saks credit, etc). They also have a travel booking program that offers things like free hotel room upgrades and we’ve scored some great rooms that way.

Chase Sapphire is what we have for my business and I like it because we can transfer the points basically anywhere

Amex is great and lots of benefits. SWA has been good but eager to see what everyone else says!
