Repeating kindergarten

My daughter is very young for her grade. She turns 6 end of July and she is currently struggling academically in kindergarten. She is doing great socially/emotionally, but is having trouble with attention and reading. She has improved as the year progresses and the teachers are saying she does not need to repeat kinder. I would like any advice from moms in similar situations.

I am a former kindergarten teacher and I think if the teachers are not recommending retention, then you should do some tutoring over the summer and send her to 1st grade. Chat me for more info!
