We are a “less is more” for the holidays kind of family, so we typically like to do just one central gift and maybe a book or some pjs etc. Anyone have any unique ideas for a central gift for a 3yo boy? We also don’t do electronics/screens so looking for something outside that box. Any ideas? (He already has a tricycle and a yotoplayer). Heeelllpppopp

I have a 3 yr old boy and he loves nothing more than being outside…for his birthday, we got him a round rope swing and he loves it! Other ideas: scooter and helmet, mini trampoline, or a mini bounce house (not as expensive as you’d think!).

At 3yrs we were still doing sidewalk chalk, scooter, bubble machine, balance bike, sandbox, big tub to fill with water and water toys. They don't know what is a "big" gift and what's not, so just pick whatever you want to play with alongside him!

Our 3 year old lovedddd his ride on cars , get a good quality one that will last. Also get a remote option and 2 seater, it was a great activity outside and he became an excellent driver pretty quickly!

Not sure if this fits in the one main gift, but one year I asked each family member to put together one of those rectangular file boxes based on a theme for pretend play - dinosaurs, farm, construction, medical/veterinary, cars, sports, etc. They could include costumes/clothing, toys, sand box in a bin, books, etc. It was awesome! AND everything could be put back into the box to be stored and organized. I did this when I was teaching kindergarten and it was always a hit and so fun to see what happened when they put on something as simple as a hard hat.
