Where do they fall with sending to kinder? Hold back? Dont? If my baby were a June baby, I’d hold him back. But I feel like March is weird.. help me understand

Send the March babies. It's starting to get ridiculous IMO. There needs to be a rule in place where kids should be in their set grades unless there is a legitimate reason to hold them back. Of course if there is a concern then do what you need to do, but not to hold them back just to hold them back.

I am a mom of a now senior, sophmore and 7th grader. I would say if I had a boy I would hold him back if born in march. If a girl I would send her. All that being said, I have a niece who was born in March and was held back and to be honest it has been great for her. She is little for her age and that also makes a difference. Sorry - no one set rule but this is what I have seen and what I think now having older kids.

My daughter was ready to go, but my son was not. They weren't march babies, but my daughter was mature enough for her age whereas my little guy has some room to grow.
