Party Favor Bags

Alright mamas, what’s the deal with party favor bags—do we have to do them? Do your kids expect them? We usually toss ours within 24 hours, but I know the kids are always itching for them at the end of a party. I’ve done PEZ dispensers and lollipop holder characters before, and was thinking character ring pops this time… but my husband swears the kids want the full bag. Any ideas for favors that won’t get tossed? It’s for a 6 y/o boy!

I’m probably the wrong mom to ask 🤪. But we always throw them out too. Unless there’s something edible. And I always feel bad and wasteful but otherwise it’s just clutter.
I don’t do party bags unless we have a pinata or something and then they go home with the contents of the pinata.
I love the idea of pez or a ring pop! -

One of my kids really likes them so I do them, not because I want to!
Tattoos, candy, the punching balloon things, race car (younger boys) have all been used. For girls: finger nail polish, sleep eye mask, pens, tattoos, slap bracelets
We’ve had a custom cookie before that was nice. Bubbles for younger kids.

I have really cut back on the thought and energy I put into these since boys really seem to not care much. Usually I’ll do some sort of snack like goldfish, maybe a lollipop and I have done some cool bulk keychains from Amazon before or stickers for
Their waterbottles, stick on tatoos, or glow sticks. -

I have several kids & it kills me when a bag of tiny things come in the house, we found it’s sometimes better to give one slightly more significant item than a bag full. It’s just about choosing the right item!
If they like animals a little set of dog stuffies, Amazon sells them in sets of 10.
I also love the $isle at Target…cool packs of bandaids was one of our go tos, harmonicas, a can of silly string, 6 year old boys love woopie cushions, 2ring pops.
But the best trick of all is how you package it. Anything feels special when it has a little personal touch, like a bow or cute gift tag. Hope this helps. -

tbh would love if we stopped the party favor bags. And sports game snack bags while we're at it. Can we start a movement???

Art of Dough makes super cute sensory jars for party favors that can be customized so you don’t need to do a thing! These are large enough that it’s all you need to give and parents will thank you for a fun activity for their kids with no sugar! www.artofdough.com
